Welcome!
Post Race Press Release - September 10, 2005
Labor Day was a fun day. Brandon was
lucky and picked the 6th starting spot. Tyler picked to start in the
rear of the field. Once the start time drew closer, the rookie,
Brandon became increasingly nervous. Tyler was nervous, but not too
bad, for he has experience on his side. After a few pace laps the
race started. Brandon was slow off the start, but that's
understandable for a first race. Unfortunately, Brandon was
sideswiped by another car and while trying to keep control of the
car, he overcorrected and went head on into the wall. The car was
trashed to say the least. Luckily, Brandon was fine. Tyler had been
going very hard around the track and had moved up many positions in
the opening laps. Soon thereafter, he started to find out that the
car was extremely tight through the turns. He could barely turn it.
After almost wrecking himself and two other racers, Tyler decided it
was time to start running the high line.
At the conclusion of the race, Tyler had finished the race, so he
was happy. Brandon was long gone, trying to beat the traffic. He
left his car at the track for ABC Car Crushing. Tyler's Civic had
received some major suspension damage to the left rear of the car,
to go along with the rest of the body damage that is the usual for
an enduro race.
The next race on the schedule is Frankenduro. Tyler plans to
definitely be there with the Civic. As for Brandon, its doubtful
that he'll be back anytime soon. Other friends are looking for cars
to get into racing.
